Vampire: The Requiem 2e character creator
Vampire: The Requiem follows the Kindred of the Chronicles of Darkness. Darkness Weaver walks you through clan, covenant, attributes, skills, Disciplines, merits, and Humanity on a sheet-ready path separate from Masquerade V5 and V20.

Lore and chronicle tone
Requiem is not Masquerade
Vampire: The Requiem uses the Chronicles of Darkness Storytelling System. Clans share names with Masquerade lineages but carry different Disciplines, favored Attributes, and banes. Covenants replace sects as political and mystical societies. If your table runs V5 or V20 Masquerade, use those hubs instead.
Personal horror after the Embrace
A Requiem neonate balances Humanity against the Beast, spends Vitae, and anchors identity with Touchstones. Blood Potency shapes how much Vitae you hold and how quickly you wake. Session Zero should name feeding culture, city politics, and which clan curse will generate scenes.
Rules and creation flow
Creation pools and Kindred budgets
Attributes use 5/4/3 category pools on top of base 1, plus one free clan-favored Attribute. Skills use 11/7/4. Kindred receive three Discipline dots (at least two in-clan), seven Merit dots, starting Blood Potency 1, and Humanity 7. Raising Blood Potency at creation costs Merit dots.
Disciplines and covenant sorcery
Each Discipline rating requires one power per level. Covenants with Crúac, Theban Sorcery, or Coils may spend a creation Discipline dot on that tradition. The wizard validates in-clan lists, including bloodline altered Disciplines, before you leave the step.

Storyteller and player tips
Session Zero tips
Pick clan for the bane and favored Attribute you want to roleplay, then covenant for the politics you want to answer. Spend Merit dots on Status or Haven only after you know the city's power map. Export PDF so the Storyteller sees Mask, Dirge, and Touchstones beside the sheet.
